Time for Asr Prayer

| Q.) If a person (supposedly Hanafi) leads salatul asr, when the hanafi asr time
has not started yet (sha'afi time of asr has started), what would be validity of such

A.) There are differences of opinion among the Hanafi Fuqaha regarding the
terminating time of Dhuhr and commencing time of Asr. Imam Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad
(two leading students of Imaam Abu Hanifa) hold the same view as Shaaf'ee. Many jurists
have preferred this view, therefore, the Salat during Shaaf'ee Asr time will be valid. And
Allah Taãla Knows Best.
