The color coded Qur'an is intended to facilitate and enhance the reading of the Qur'an with tajweed. It is produced by color coding the various rules. For example where ikhfa is to be observed, the word is highlighted with blue; where qalqala is to be observed red is used. A legend at the bottom of every page describes the color codes providing for a quick reference. A 27 page supplement at the end describes the rules of tajweed in detail and explains the color coding system.
