Lipsticks

Q.) What is the ruling of Shariah regarding the use of lipsticks by women and which lipsticks are lawful (halal)?

A.) A female may beautify herself by applying lipstick if the lipstick does not have Haram (unlawful) substances in it. However, it is prohibited for her to expose her beauty before non-Mahram (not prohibited in marriage) males. We do not know which lipsticks are Halaal.
