Making up for Petty Theft

| Q.) In my school life, I had a habit of stealing stationery items, Parker pens etc,. What should I do as I now wish to make up the stolen goods. I cannot find the people whom I stole from. [Name withheld ] |
A.) If it is not possible to locate the owners of the stationery, then we advise the value of the stationery be given in charity and Istighfaar and Tawbah be made.
